Lightin the Window provides a therapeutic environment specializing in services foradult male survivors of childhood trauma resulting from child abuse and men whohave experienced trauma as adults.

Lightin the Window is a private Residential Centre, which provides a homelikeatmosphere for men to heal - Mind, Body and Soul.

Lightin the Window recognizes that healing the trauma of childhood abuse and adulttrauma is fundamental to healthy communities, families and individuals.

Lightin the Window is committed to offering professional services that meet the needsof male survivors of trauma and to encourage personal growth to enable men toactualize their full potential.

Themost recent national Canadian study (1984), conducted by the Badgley Committee,estimates that about one in two females and one in three males have been victimsof unwanted sexual acts. Four infive of these acts were committed against the person as a child or youth.
